March 29

.

A new day; a new room to paint.  This is the same carpet as in the living room, and it's still tan, really.  Not pink as it appears here....

Note new ladder.  I decided it was high time to get a nice sturdy ladder.  This ladder is one step taller than the rickety old red one, and is a perfect height for cutting in where the walls and ceiling meet.  We also got the step stool, which folds up very thin, and is perfect for reaching high cupboard shelves, as well as for rolling on paint just above your reach.

The old wooden ladder was very comfortable on bare feet.  The new aluminum ladder was COLD.  And the tractiony ridges on its steps are brand new, with very sharply defined edges.  Not comfy to bare feet.  We used terrycloth footies, which solved both problems.

The new ladder isn't nearly so wobbly as the old one, and it's a much better height for this job.  Yay.
