Here's info from The Conversation about a new study on sleep in non-electrified cultures.
Apparently being awake for an hour or more in the middle of the night is not unusual after all.............
But apparently we do need more darkness than many of us get. Dim red light is ok (like we'd get from a fire), but bright blue light (like we get from electronic devices) is not good, in the time just before we try to go to sleep............
Here's an article about using orange glasses late in the evening to block that pesky blue light.....
