Jamie and Andy

.

Here's an article from Smithsonian about Jamie Wyeth and Andy Warhol.  Having just seen three of Jamie's portraits of Andy, when I was in Denver in November, I thought this was interesting.

One of the portraits of Andy (by Jamie) I saw was very like the "deer in the headlights" one in the article.

Here's my blog post about the Wyeth exhibit I saw, that includes one portrait of Andy.

Vicki, did you see the Wyeth exhibit when you were in Denver? I haven't been yet but have it on my calendar to get this before it's gone. Saw the Fritz Scholder 3 times but Wyeth crowds were too huge :)

Yes. I thought it was well worth seeing! I went on a Sunday. Probably got there sort of late-morning ish? And it was the Sunday right after Thanksgiving, so probably fewer people. The exhibit was not crowded (no line). There were plenty of people in there, but not so many that you couldn't see the work.
