brachiation, and otters

.

Something I got no pictures of was brachiation.  There were two gibbons in a large outdoor space that had bars thoughtfully placed to facilitate brachiation.  We got to watch one of them circumnavigate the inside of the enclosure.  ("Circumnavigate" is probably the wrong word, but he went all the way from corner to corner to corner to corner.)   That was more brachiation that I'd seen in the whole rest of my life.  Cool that he had the space to do it, and cool that he did it while we were watching!

I was tired.  We had walked by everything, we think.

Leaving the zoo, we went back by the otters.  They had clearly been swimming, and one was grooming the other.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
