This is the hill at the far end of my through-the-neighborhood walking loop. This is the upside of the steep hill, still adorned with daylilies.....
Butterflyweed. This is true to the color of butterfly weed. The last pics I took of this plant were in shade, but that's no excuse for the way-too-blue color the phone camera got before, in my humble. (These are also the phone camera.)
Not the sharpest, alas. The flower structure is very like that of milkweed, but in warm color rather than pink.
Can't get enough coneflowers.......
