You may recall we looked at various tools available for checkout at the Ann Arbor District Library.

This is looking down from on high at the cute little Ashford Joy spinning wheel I borrowed.

It works like a champ.



This is the first spinning I'd done in years and years.

I didn't love the act of spinning.  This wool has been sitting around for years and years.  The changes in humidity and temperature over that much time result in enough felting that this wool was hard to draft for spinning, even though I pre-drafted it.  My fingers got tired doing something that should be smooth and effortless.

I must need to buy some new wool!  :-)
