Some people’s mending is an art form. This is an act (or three acts) of resistance.
My socks used to last for years and years and years. Now they often give out in just a few wearings. Is it me? Perhaps, though I don’t know that anything has changed.
In any case, I reject the notion that I can only wear a pair of socks a few times before they become trash! Sleazy manufacturing does not mean I immediately have to go out and buy more sleazy products!
Take that, military-industrial complex!
