My rescue plant. One day last spring I picked up two pathetic wilted little bits of coleus from the sidewalk at the farmers' market. I brought them home and stuck them in dirt in this blue pot on the patio. One of them seemed to disappear (something ate it?), and I've pretty much ignored the other.
Here it is. Happy and thriving. Yay.
Day lily near the farmers' market.
This color is what I remember -- deep red with no yellowishness.
Mushroom in the same bed as the day lily. It really was red like this, on top, and yellowish underneath.
At home. Blue-shouldered tomatoes.
This plant has a lot of incipient tomatoes, too.
This plant's tomatoes are taxi-cab yellow when ripe. It has "taxi" in the name.
Bees love goldenrod.
Goldenrod on a breezy day.
Still writing get-out-the-vote postcards. PostcardsToVoters.org tells me what to say each time, and gives me the addresses.
Walking at dusk.
