.

Intending to to take a position in a visible way.....

Letters cut from an old polo shirt, sewed onto a thrifted woven shirt.  (Experienced sewists tell me that this sort of knitted fabric will not run.  The edges can be left raw.  I tested one letter, with one run through the washing machine, and -- so far, so good.)(

Squash at the farmers' market.

Pretty eggs.

Flowers from Green Things farm.

Veggies from Green things.  Radishes at the top.  At the bottom -- kohlrabi at left (purple and green), chard, parsley at right.

Ginger at Green Things.  Who knew it could grow in Michigan?  Isn't it pretty?  I'd never seen it with pink bits before.

One more look at Green Things flowers.

Romanesco, growing in fron of the Deli.  I'd never seen it growing before.  What big leaves!

The coolest vegetable -- fractals spiralling around..........

Broccoli.  You're not supposed to let it flower if you want to eat it..  Note bee in upper right corner.

Bee.  Bum at left, headed downward.  Big full golden pollen basket.

This is Detroit "Street."  The brick building at the end of the block is Catching Fireflies -- a fun place to shop, with interesting gifts, greeting cards, and home goods items.  They are open -- go buy something to help them get through all this construction!  (Or should I say destruction.....)

They are right across Detroit from the Deli, who would also be glad for your business, I'm sure.

Standing in more or less the same place but rotated a bit to the left -- looking across a bit of Detroit "Street" and Fifth Avenue toward the farmers' market.
