This image of the National Mall in Washington, taken from the World War II memorial, pleases me for a lot of reasons.
Generally speaking, I don't like having random people in my images. For some reason, when they are saturated like this, I don't mind them.
I like that I can see the American History museum, the dome of the National Gallery of Art, and the top of the Capitol dome.
I like the fountains, I like the clouds, I like what the late afternoon light and super-saturation do to the Washington Monument.
