Never Surrender!

Thinking about soldiering on, trying to do the Right Thing, even when the concept seems nebulous, and especially when no one else seems to give a rat's @#$.........

A bunch of has-been actors, who starred in a Star Trek-ish series, find themselves in the middle of an actual inter-planetary emergency. With the help of a teenage fan back on earth, they manage to rise to the occasion and save a planet and its people.

Here is a brief taste, with the captain saying "Never surrender."



But the "Never surrender!" I remember from the movie is not the captain's version, but is spoken this way:






When your neighbors are incessantly polluting the planet with their noisy lawn equipment, and letting their cats eat the songbirds in your yard as well their own yard, when yet another #*$#^ cuts you off on the highway, when you visit the Big City and observe that more than half the lights in all the buildings around your hotel are lit up like Christmas trees at 2:00 am................

When you are tempted to also not give a damn, as what difference can your lonely effort make, in the face of the multitudes of uncaring slobs everywhere........
