the rest of the pics from October 1

.

Downtown Home and Garden.

I like the shadow of leaves on the other leaf.

Urban pot, in the window of the Ann Arbor Art Center (used to be the Ann Arbor Art Association).

Love the shape!!! Love the swirls! Love the color. Back when I made pots, I often used a glaze verrrry similar to this one......

When walking through quilt shows, I often note work that is amazingly wonderful, which I would never have the desire to emulate.

That's how I feel about this pot. I love it, but have no desire to make anything that requires such painstaking accuracy.

Liking the hint of blue in the background and lower left corner, with this gorgeous warm pot.

Urban chrysantemums.

Goodness. It's true I haven't walked *to* work in a long time. I had no idea that the sweet potato vines in the planters along Main Street were making a break for it from the big planters!

I still don't like that people block my sidewalk, sitting at tables outside restaurants, but I do like that the restaurants are putting decoration on the sidewalks.....

(Poor old trees have been there for decades, and are clearly getting tired, alas!)

Here I am in my office, looking south.........

My office poinsettia, happy and green.

I caught the bus home for the first time in months, on October 1.

I have trouble with plantar fasciitis from time to time, and my right heel was killing me........

I hadn't known that the sidewalk behind the federal building (right by where I catch the #9) has a lot of petunias.

These have so much purple/blue pigment going on that even the pollen is blue!
