When my daughter was in Paris, I don't think google maps had the Paris street view. The satellite view is very cool, and I enjoyed playing with that.
Today I was trying to find out where I think "my" Paris webcam is (from the "Paris weather" button on the right).
The street view is there!
So cool. You can walk around Paris and look at stuff from ground level!
So cool.
Go to google maps, put Paris France in its search box, find your chosen landmark (I was looking at la Tour Eiffel), zoom in, and look around.
Excellent!

I wished I could do this when you were going around that quarter in the south, early in your stay....
