September 25

.

You'll recall that I visited Health Service last week to have my sty diagnosed.

I cleverly went early, expecting to evade the germy students. (We've gotten email saying they've had a lot of kids with H1N1, and, well, who needs that?).

Unfortunately, Health Service has rearranged the way they do things, and while it's much easier to get a last-minute appt, it's much harder to get a walk-in appt. Who knew.

It was 8:15. I wasn't waiting around for an 11:15 appt, so I went home. And came back. Live and learn.

These pics taken before 8:15..............

It was another gorgeous day.

That is Health Service in the lower left.

I am hardly ever out and about early enough to have this sort of shadow.

The crane is working on the new dormy thing that is where the Frieze Building used to be.

Closeup of deciduous ivy along the wall at the edge of the parking structure. You can see it in the prev.

Red edge on a mature leaf.

Burton Tower with very-nice-day sky.

The University does a very good job of refurbing old buildings rather than tearing them down. Usually (note I just mentioned the demise of the Frieze Building above.....).

Health Service had hand sanitizer and boxes of masks everywhere. I didn't see anyone wearing a mask. I did use the sanitizer on my way out.
