Both of the above spotted in the excellent garden at the corner of my old block.
I see new things at the farmers' market all the time.
They had five different kinds of cornmeal (each from a different kind of corn). Blue, red, three different yellows.........
The last time I had red currants, they were on some exquisite French toast, in Tours, France. (scroll on down to the end of the post, to see the currants)
I was in picture mode, not shopper mode, and didn't think of purchasing currants. Maybe next week......
There is an indoor market next to the farmers' market. Strolling around inside, I spotted this bag of local mixed beans. It's hardly bean-soup weather, but this made me want some.....
Another hot blue day. We could use some rain........
