In case you have been wondering what Bo and Clarissa are up to, they have added hunks of torn paper to their collection of sticks.
They are still working diligently for long hours, but here is no Nest Progress to share.
The lovely garden at the corner of my old block.
Iris.
Poppies.
Columbine.
I've been reading The Emerald City of Oz as I walk the dog. These white petals, rising into tall red-purple peaks, with curls at the end -- don't they seem like just the sort of headgear some denizens of Oz must be wearing?
These are some seriously complicated blossoms!
Cornflower.
Excellent tulip leaves.
Poppies and ... what? This is driving me crazy. I thought at the time it was candytuft, but it's not. (closeup of flowers below)
If sidewalk squares are about 5' on a side, and we can see both ends of one square in this pic, we can tell this is a big bunch of white flowers!
Iris.
Gorgeous and enormous poppy.
Iris, columbine, poppy, and more of that white fluffy stuff.....
Iris (with poppy buds in the background).
A closeup of the white stuff. The flowers are about an inch across. Anyone? What is it? It has a lush full habit (see with poppies above), and a sweet honey scent..... ???
I googled for it, and, maddeningly, every image I found that I thought might be this plant was labeled "white flowers".............. I didn't realize that identifying it was an issue, or I'd have gotten a look at the leaves!
I never saw the leetle RED bugs until I got the image above up on "the big screen."
Iris. These are much smaller flowers than the white, and purple, ones above. They had a faint touch of that nice grapey iris scent.

It's interesting how different our worlds are--our beautiful flowers have mostly faded as summer heats up; yours are full flower.
Lovely photos!
(our iris started blooming in Jan!)
Very different indeed! We are in full Late Spring mode. No summer heating up, just yet. Thank goodness!
Thank you for the kind words. I've missed you! I hope things are ok at your house?
Iris in January! Yikes!
We've had a weird year -- In March I hung out laundry three (80+ degree) days in a row. And then not again until this week......
