I liked the light across the very tops of the bushes.
Here's a zoomed shot of the same bushes. With some nice orange butterfly weed.
I believe this is a sassafras tree, with the setting sun behind.
Milkweed flowers.
Cool, how they begin with the sepals over the flowers, and then.....
It was just lovely in the woods on the right. If I didn't mind living where you can't get anywhere without a car, and it was my golf course, I would totally build my house just inside the edge of that woods.....
Zoomed shot of the above.
Another look at the same spot, with a different camera and with some post-processing to make it more green (lessening the golden effect of the sunset light).
Just inside the woods, looking out at the spot where the previous shots were taken.
Those interesting bunkers again. Love the starry look of the little white flowers in the front.
It was getting late.
Tracks through the grass.
Greens, golds, curves.
I wonder what caused this swirl?
The cranes, apparently settling in for the night. I can see how it would be safer to sleep in the pond. I'd think that anything big enough to be dangerous to an adult sandhill crane would make some noise, traversing the water.
Our presence (and the fact that we were staring at them) disturbed them.
Sunset through the evergreens.
Grasses (?) against a dusky sky.
What a nice evening that was. It was just before the heat wave hit......
