A gray day.

Lots of snow on the ground (and elsewhere).

The current ads for boosting tourism in our area tout the virtues of Pure Michigan.  Michigan truly has many virtues. 

Including people with a sense of humor, who want to know why those Pure Michigan commercials never show someone stepping into a pile of slush that they thought was 3/4" deep, but which was really 4 3/4" deep.

Or why they don't show the big clots of dirty snow/ice that your car tracks into the garage.

My better half looked at this and said "Now that's Pure Michigan."

Yes.  Yes it is.

And let's not forget the 4.5' tall pile of snow we've shoveled off the driveway, right outside the garage, either.  More Pure Michigan............

Note standing-on-end yellow broom, visible against the garage wall, and compare that to the height of that pile of snow.....
